Creative Director, UX Director, Content Strategist
Blue State Digital is a leading global marketing agency focused on helping causes and brands build communities that take action. Over five years at BSD, I played a leadership role and wore a few hats. I launched and managed the User Experience team and served as UX lead and Creative Director on dozens of website redesigns and fundraising campaigns, helping to raise millions of dollars for great causes.
My clients at BSD included UNICEF, Ford Motor Company, Rockefeller Foundation, Doctors Without Borders, Google, American Express, XPRIZE, The Trevor Project, MIT, the University of Chicago, and the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty.
Innocence Project, 2006-2011
The Innocence Project uses DNA testing to overturn wrongful convictions and reform the criminal justice system. As the organization's first-ever dedicated digital communications leader, I built an online community and digital fundraising program from the ground up — driving exponential growth in engagement and online fundraising revenue.
